Lucky Chilli n' Cheese Dawgs!

  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes (provided you've already made our 'Beef Cheek Chilli' recipe in advance). It's great to keep a few dollops of the chilli to make these 'Chilli Dawgs'!

Lucky Chilli n' Cheese Dawgs!


• 2 soft white hot dog rolls (sliced down the middle & slightly toasted until crisp & light golden)

• Butter for the slightly toasted hot dog rolls

• 2 good quality large franks

• 2 handfuls grated mild cheddar

• 4 TBSNS 'Beef Cheek Chill'

• 4 'forkfuls' of Lucky Taco Pink Pickle

• Splash of Lucky Taco hot sauce (flavour / heat intensity of your choice)

• American hot dog mustard


• Turn the grill on high and lightly toast the hot dog rolls. Butter and set aside.

• Bring a large shallow saucepan of water to the boil.

• Add the franks. Cook through for about 3 minutes in boiling water.

• Heat the Beef Cheek Chill in a small saucepan until piping hot.

• Drain the franks. Pat dry with paper towel and lay into the toasted bun.

• Divide the Beef Cheek Chilli between the 2 dogs.

• Add a generous sprinkling of mild grated cheddar cheese (quickly so it melts into the hot Chilli).

• Lay a few forkfuls of Pink Pickle on top of the cheese.

• Finish with a squiggle de-doo-dah of American style hot dog mustard.

• ERMERGHHHERRRRD. So naughty, but so nice!

• PS - ours unintentionally looks like a rocket.
